NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #212 ~ 01-25-20]
Pictured: U-Roy.
It’s a bit embarrassing, so we might as well get it out of the way now: DJ Reeshard was walking Lee-Roy the other day when the latter, always mindful of his neighborhood enemies list, bolted for the gate containing an especially annoying Malamute. In the course of his spontaneous attack, Lee-Roy managed to flip his human pal end over end, with the end result of Reeshard landing on — and breaking — his little finger. The damaged digit is now in a splint. While this makes cuing records difficult, both DJ’s rocked the Purple Bat Lounge this past Saturday. Though, truth be told, Reeshard did most of the heavy lifting in this regard. Lee-Roy was too busy laughing at his injured companion’s aluminum accessory. Movies at the Madison, Uncle Morty and other expected benefits of an evening spent in a bad part of town — all present and accounted for. Now you can hear it too.
