NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #194 ~ 06-15-19]

The assembled fathers within The Purple Bat Lounge celebrated their special day this past Saturday evening. You could justly accuse them of jumping the gun, but were you there, the collective Dad impatience was understandable. There was great music, selected with verve and esprit de corps by the bar’s DJ’s, Reeshard & Lee-Roy. There were intriguing transactions made just outside the door to the alley. Cocktails were served in quantity, despite bartender LaWanda being ostensibly M.I.A. throughout the festivities. Uncle Morty turned up in his ‘distressed finish’ truck, bearing party favors that couldn’t be ignored. And when all was said and done, what did the Dads in attendance have to show for their pre-Father’s Day bash? Some empty Wippets containers rolling down the staircase to the basement, the occasional discarded condom wrapper, a persistent ringing in the ears…and the feeling that one had truly been somewhere. We can at very least impart this last takeaway to you, dear listeners. Simply click where you’re supposed to, a few pixels south of this sentence…
