NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #189 ~ 04-13-19]

Returning after more than a month’s work related absence, Reeshard & Lee-Roy  resumed business within the DJ booth at the Purple Bat Lounge last Saturday evening. Those who can recall the night in question — but who speaks to those people? — say it was like the pair had never left. Certainly all the ingredients of a successful night on the town were present and accounted for: A human and his faithful feckless pit bull spinning nearly three dozen tunes at lease-breaking volume; a double-feature of Russ Meyer nudie-cuties screening at the Madison; and, of course, Uncle Morty’s former ice cream truck making its requisite mid-show appearance. Of course, onto each parade some rain must fall. It was with no little sorrow that the respective departures from this mortal coil of both Andre Williams (long-standing patron saint of NCIP) and defining iconoclast Scott Walker were duly commemorated during the broadcast. But even those memento mori enhanced a couple of entertaining hours wasted in downtown Detroit. Hear for yourself by clicking a few pixels to the south of these words…
