In the run-up to next week’s first of two Luxuria Music Pledge Drive shows, DJ’s Reeshard & Lee-Roy put on a collective brave face and did their level best to convince anyone within earshot that the world was not ending. Or, more to the point, if the world was in fact about to pop its clogs, no one within the Purple Bat Lounge cared very much about said event. Over three dozen storming tunes were heard in the course of this Saturday evening and a very, very psychedelic twin-bill featured at the Madison Theater. With the appropriate gesture that is his signature, Uncle Morty brought a canister of LSD-25 to the DJ booth. Lee-Roy recognized a thread of conceptual continuity materializing and, in response, fashioned an empathogen-friendly final set. You might ask: What could that have sounded like? You could learn the answer to your own question simply by clicking immediately below…it’s just that easy.
