Political viewpoints never merit a moment’s serious consideration at the Purple Bat Lounge…why should they receive special treatment? No topic garners such consideration at the bar, certainly not politics, especially not on a Saturday evening. Our most recent episode nearly proved the exception to the rule, however. Uncle Morty’s truck pulled up, mid-episode, and aced yet another of the bar’s lawn jockeys on the sidewalk out front. Once the dust and plaster chips had settled, DJ Lee-Roy took receipt of a small canister marked Marionberry Pie. Which spurred his immediate search for a ‘willing intern’…and, frankly, that’s about as political as it got. Otherwise, the Madison theater advertised their idea of a mental health double feature and Reeshard played nearly three dozen tunes, supporting the vibe of energized apathy for which the establishment is justly renowned. There was more, of course, all of which is better heard than described. You can do that for yourself, simply by clicking in the right spot immediately below…
