Some would have it that, within the universe we share, seemingly disparate events align according to plan. Well, somebody’s plan…we’re not sure whose plan, but so be it. As such, perhaps we shouldn’t have been all that surprised when, last Saturday evening, DJ Lee=Roy took delivery of a large package containing a Wm. Burroughs-authorized Dream Machine that the dog had ordered via the Loompanics catalog. On this self-same Saturday, Uncle Morty’s truck pulled up to the curb outside the Purple Bat Lounge, proffering a new strain called — are you ready for this? — Dream Machine. Coincidence? We think not. As a superabundance of great tunes played throughout the evening, co-host Reeshard stood by helplessly as Lee-Roy fascinated on his new, mind-bending toy. This threatened to derail the otherwise orderly progress of the evening, until Reeshard recalled recent events, the mention of which had an uncharacteristically humbling effect on everyone’s favorite pit bull. To learn more about this, and also to hear a lot of great music, click in the appropriate spots below. Tune in anyway…
