NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #154 ~ 02-10-18]
Pictured: Lee “Scratch” Perry.
This past Saturday evening, as experienced collectively by patrons of the Purple Bat Lounge, was extraordinary in the larger measure owing as much to what did not happen as to what did. Space aliens did not visit the bar, nor did bikers in search of comp’ed drinks. Nice Guy Eddie stayed at his end of the block. Co-host Lee-Roy experienced no significant transformations as the result of Uncle Morty’s delivery service. And, by extension, host Reeshard did not lose the will to live because of his co-host’s incorrigible tendencies. Nearly three dozen songs, any one among them capable of breaking a lease, played throughout. However, the specter of Luxuria Music‘s forthcoming Pledge Drive cast a shadow over the proceedings. Lee-Roy offered — and he’s offered before, of course — his stud services in exchange for listeners’ money. A bold (and somewhat fraudulent) notion from a dog spayed long ago, you might think. You’d be right, but that’s not the half of it. Click below and hear the rest, especially the music. Tune in anyway…
