NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #150 ~ 01-06-18]
Pictured: Françoise Hardy.
As yet another milepost was rounded in the ongoing saga of N.C.I.P. — being the 150th episode — Reeshard & Lee-Roy celebrated in the time-honored manner by cherry-picking their favorite tunes from the preceding two dozen shows. This, much to the delight of patrons within the Purple Bat Lounge…well, those still conscious by 9pm. (It’s to be noted that, given the hour, this in no way guaranteed a consensus.) Over three dozen tunes were heard, Uncle Morty dropped off an old favorite at the mid-point and, to honor their favorite canine co-host, the Madison’s programmers slated a twin-bill of Pam Grier movies. You’d assume these represented the components of a proper commemoration, but then, you’re not Lee-Roy. No, the dog demanded celebrity endorsement for his achievement. And to that end, eventually, he succeeded…sort of. But that’s the part of last Saturday evening best discovered by clicking in all the right places just a few pixels south of this sentence. Tune in anyway…
