NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #149 ~ 12-30-17]

One could be forgiven under ordinary circumstances for thinking that the patrons of the Purple Bat Lounge were constitutionally incapable of celebrating their own birthdays, much less an occasion so momentous as New Year’s Eve. After all, that would mean waking up and making an effort. And yet they did, commemorating the inception of 2018 with a bar game involving roman candles and an ancient dart board hanging near the back door. DJ Lee-Roy warmed to the new sport immediately, leaving co-host Reeshard to examine the bar’s insurance policy. (Which, as it transpired, had lapsed sometime during the first Gulf War.) Much terrific music was played, a Tamara Dobson twin-bill featured at The Madison and, just when we needed him most, Uncle Morty pulled up to the curb with a canister of something Highly Appropriate. And much as we count on you to locate the latter on your own, the rest of our Saturday evening is yours to experience with a mere click of the mouse in the right spot, just a few pixels south of this sentence. On behalf of all at the Purple Bat, we’ll wish you the best of all possible 2018’s and let you get on with wasting time… our way. Tune in anyway…
