NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #147 ~ 12-16-17]
Pictured: Sir Victor Uwaifo & friends.
That time of year rolled around once again, when enforced seasonal cheer and marketing-disguised-as-merriment blanketed the landscape like a noxious fog. The so-called holiday experience tried the mettle of even the sybaritic types frequenting the Purple Bat Lounge, turning what was ordinarily an unsavory dive bar into something like a civil defense shelter (albeit one with a pool table & a wall-mounted condom dispenser) for the Xmas-averse among our number. Providing a suitable soundtrack for the embittered souls taking refuge within the darkened space on Brush St., DJ’s Reeshard & Lee-Roy spun four sets of seriously non-Yuletide tunes. Patrons learned of the twin-bill of sleazy action movies playing at the Madison, and Uncle Morty’s truck dispensed a critical dose of herbal remedy, the better to elevate the collective — well, OK, Lee-Roy‘s mood. And, in what might almost resemble a seasonal custom, bartender LaWanda allowed our canine companion to reveal the recipe for the Lee-Roy Cocktail™. You at home can create your very own anti-Xmas force field, simply by clicking in the appropriate spots immediately below. Tune in anyway…
