Last Saturday evening brought yet another episode of No Condition Is Permanent, the show that will share its M&M’s with you…well, maybe not the green ones. It also brought Indian Summer, or the Detroit variant thereof, to the Purple Bat Lounge. Of course, for DJ Lee-Roy, warmer temperatures compelled a trip to the bar’s Outdoor Patio, the better to watch the carriage lamp-style bug zapper fry some cockroaches imported from Madagascar by B’wana Don’s pet store, just down the block. Fellow DJ Reeshard remained indoors, doing his part to maintain a salubrious atmosphere by spinning a few dozen tunes, any one among these capable of breaking a lease. The Madison ran a voodoo-themed double feature and, sensing a trend in the offing, Uncle Morty stopped by to deliver a voodoo-themed canister.
