It’s not just any old weekend that finds a Rudy Ray Moore double-bill playing at The Madison. Co-host Lee-Roy, a pit bull who believes in dressing for radio, rose to the occasion with style entirely worthy of his somewhat questionable role model, Moore’s filmic alter-ego Dolemite. Uncle Morty’s Midnite Mobile Dispensary™ pulled up to the curb with a strain appropriate to the occasion. In the DJ booth, Reeshard and the dog constructed four storming sets of music good enough to eat. And of course, as we are discussing the Purple Bat Lounge on a Saturday night, there was a scene in the Women’s — which may or may not have been instigated by Lee-Roy.
