It had to happen. Co-host Lee-Roy receives the tiniest bit of media validation — okay, not so tiny, his own brand of weed — and he becomes even more impossible than he already was. Fortunately, a distraction occurred: The cast of a favorite radio show from days gone by, The Cool & The Crazy, chose the Purple Bat Lounge as the site for their reunion special. So the evening took on a complexity not usually encountered with the regulars in attendance. While the newly celebrated pit bull DJ dreamed of syndication, his human partner (that’d be Reeshard) spun three sets of house-wrecking music, to spelled in the final inning when Lee-Roy came down from his cloud and swatted one out of the park with a most righteous concluding set.
