NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #105 ~ 10-08-16]

Pictured: The Velvet Underground’s John Cale & Lou Reed at work.

Step back from the curb, ignoring the entreaties of those women in the sequined hot pants, peer down Brush St. and you’re likely to spot The Purple Bat Lounge. Within its walls, a thousand dashed hopes have been spilled upon the bar, and yet, a few more of those aspirations (albeit aimed somewhat lower) have been realized. One of the DJ’s, Lee-Roy, has a birthday approaching. His hope? For an Antonio Vargas hat, to compliment the pimp cane he received last Xmas. His co-host and legal guardian Reeshard contemplates his friend’s request, thinks for a moment, sighs and then returns to picking records. Otherwise, it was a great Saturday night. Four sets of molar-rattling music complimented by a visit from The Midnight Mobile Dispensary™, the filthy former ice cream truck piloted by everyone’s favorite former Mossad-adjacent entrepreneur Uncle Morty. He dropped off something called Dirty Girl, which spoke in volumes to Lee-Roy’s cadre of female admirers. Everyone had a good time, no one we cared about was arrested and a negligible few ended up crying. What more can you ask of a night on the town? Click in the appropriate spots below and, as ol’ pal Borat might say, You Find More! Tune in anyways…
