We’d love to have you believe that the very air itself was electrified hereabouts, so palpable the excitement leading up to the forthcoming 100th broadcast of No Condition Is Permanent. Truth be told, however, a glance about the Purple Bat Lounge this past Saturday evening revealed little beyond the usual no-good-niks up to their usual scams and vices. Speaking of the latter, Uncle Morty pulled his dreary former ice cream truck up to the curb and bestowed upon co-host Lee-Roy something called Conspiracy Kush. (Hint: The canister’s label bore an image of director Oliver Stone.) So, as Reeshard played lots of terrific music, everyone’s favorite pit bull cowered beneath the bar, wary of black helicopters and the like. None of which actually materialized, though the city’s building inspector paid a surprise visit…but enough of the spoilers.
