NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #95 ~ 06-25-16]

Françoise Hardy in repose

You can labor shoulder to shoulder with someone for days, weeks and years on end, share life’s joys and travails, get into and out of all manner of scrapes (these latter usually initiated by said comrade) and, ultimately, feel that a true rapport has been earned, that you really know who someone is. All of the aforesaid was handily disproved last Saturday night when, in the course of selecting four sets of deeply enjoyable music, co-host Lee-Roy stood revealed as…a Trekkie, of all things. Of course, there was a catalyst prying that closet door open delivered mid-program by Uncle Morty, specifically a small canister marked Uhuru (featuring the likeness of Nicelle Nichols on its label). Some unusual Blaxploitation fare screened at The Madison and, looking for UFO’s, co-host Lee-Roy ultimately found his way to the roof of the Purple Bat Lounge, there to encounter wisdom in the person of an old adversary. More could be told, but better you should hear it for yourself, simply by clicking immediately below. Tune in anyways…
