Not a lot to say about last Saturday night’s revels at The Purple Bat Lounge, beyond noting the usual four sets of terrific music, the best exotic party mix since Screaming Yellow Zonkers.  The decrepit ice cream truck parked out front was the source of a small canister marked ‘Black Mamba.’ That said canister bore the likeness of André Williams (a patron saint of N.C.I.P) shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with our scene. But co-host Lee-Roy creeped out by a scary double  feature at The Madison? That’s surprising.
