NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #92 ~ 05-21-16]

Music, laughter, booze and controlled substances: All of the aforementioned have long been recognized as essential to making a Saturday evening bearable at the very least. Down at The Purple Bat Lounge, these same ingredients combine with wildly varying results. One week, the place might resemble a morgue needing upkeep. But check back seven days later and the doors will open to reveal a bubbling cauldron of sin, albeit one with a great soundtrack playing at volume sufficient to attract patrol cars cruising the neighborhood. Though police presence isn’t really an issue at The Purple Bat. The off-duty cops are already within, hanging at the bar. This week’s keyword/wild card? Willie Nelson. No, we’re not playing anything he’s recorded, but Lee-Roy does connect with the pig-tailed outlaw by means both mysterious and obvious. Which is to say that, yes, Uncle Morty makes his weekly visit sometime after The Madison’s announcing a twin bill of blaxploitation films starring Jim Brown. All told, it was one of the Good Saturdays. Which you can experience anytime you wish, by clicking below. Tune in anyways…
