So much happened and yet nothing truly happened at all, save for the trashing of a couple of hours, time that might have been otherwise gainfully utilized by the grasshoppers in our midst. But at the Purple Bat Lounge, the ants have their way and nothing much was achieved at all save for the usual crew getting unhinged to a soundtrack provided by Reeshard & Lee-Roy. Of course we heard about the double-bill playing at The Madison, where it’s blaxploitation business as usual. Uncle Morty pulled up to the curb with several fine varietals on offer, no doubt lured by that “Ralphie wants a B-B gun” look in co-host Lee-Roy’s eye. (It’s to be noted that said look functions as something like the Bat Signal in the night sky summoning the Midnight Mobile Dispensary.)
