NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #87 ~ 03-19-16]

Another bang-up evening at the Purple Bat Lounge — the spot described by one critic as “a frabjous sort of place in a decidedly vorpal neighborhood” — where Reeshard & Lee-Roy dispense party-tested grooves with abandon, all the better to murder a Saturday evening. At one point, late in the proceedings, Reeshard becomes preoccupied with mounting intimations of mortality offered via the daily obits thus far in the current year. Lee-Roy bucks him up with optimism worthy of a Capra movie (well, a Capra movie starring a pitbull with an unconstrained id). After all, a Russ Meyer double feature beckons at The Madison — who could look at that marquee and not have hope for the future? Not a dog with a canister of Sin City Kush in his paw, fresh from Uncle Morty’s truck, this much is certain. By evening’s close positive thinking, tempered with the usual array of lascivious urges, proves triumphant. As will be evident to anyone who relives this heart-rending episode, as below. Tune in anyways…
