NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT [Episode #83 ~ 01-30-16]

It’s the kind of place where everyone might know your name, if only they didn’t have such difficulty remembering their own. A place where Time is usually thought of, if at all, as a magazine glimpsed in the dentist’s waiting room. A place where, as Henry Miller once observed, “there are no moth balls or frigidaires, no box office receipts, no railroads, no crucifixions rosy or otherwise.” There it is, on the signpost just ahead…your next stop, the Purple Bat Lounge. Where several among our number wasted (with intent) two hours this past Saturday evening, listening to terrific records spun by the DJ team of Reeshard & Lee-Roy. The denizens of the Lounge awaited the arrival of Uncle Morty’s truck (pictured way below), though none did so with greater anxiety than Lee-Roy. Fortunately the young pup was rewarded for his impatience, as Morty’s brief stop occasioned a reunion with what now is recast as a memento mori, a small canister marked Ace Of Spades. So much more happened. Relive these deathless moments with us now, by pushing the <play> arrow immediately below…
